The Bedrock team consists of data linguists and colleagues who primarily support the training of various models on the AWS generative AI platform. We specialize in text-based data annotation, writing for ML model training, and assessing harmful content. The Bedrock team works on numerous aspects of machine learning development, including Responsible AI, reinforcement learning from human feedback, supervised fine tuning, and human content evaluation. . Our staff has extensive experience in the field of linguistics, including sociolinguistics, computational linguistics, conversation analysis, syntax-semantics, linguistic typology, ESL and foreign languages, and translation.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the data gathering and annotation guidelines, as well as the various annotation tools.
  • Annotate text data, identifying linguistic categories based on detailed annotation and adhering to guidelines.
  • Perform annotation-related duties, including data production, collecting, and quality assurance.
  • Analyzing issues and implementing solutions independently.
  • Collaborate with ML Data Associates (L3) and Team Managers (TMs) to provide high-quality data annotations

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
  • Preferred qualifications: Passion for language, linguistics, human language technology and AI.
